Sr. ETL Tester
Proficient enough in SQL to interrogate databases to test the ETL on Microsoft SQL Server.
- Previous experience of testing large scale BI solutions integrating with multiple source and target systems.
- Understand the mappings of source systems to data models in the target data warehouse schema and analytical cubes.
- Previous experience of test management tools and defect tracking tools.
- Experience of testing data warehouse ETL processes and reporting
- Be responsible for the verification and quality of the data reported on to key stakeholders in the business.
- Test in house data tables and data pipelines by analyzing user stories and then designing, writing and updating test cases and test scripts.
- Work closely with in-house and occasionally third-party development teams to identify and resolve defects in an accurate and timely manner.
- Responsible for the planning and creating of test scenarios, the raising of defects within the defect/change tracking system.
- ETL tool experience – Preference would be someone with SSIS experience but any other ETL experience would be plus for the candidate.
- Reporting tool experience – Preference would be someone with SSRS and Power BI or similar tools
