Job Responsibilities:
This hands-on analytics role will be responsible for supervising Uber’s Risk platform capabilities and developing new strategies to keep the fraudsters off Uber by identifying patterns using data analysis and visualization You will serve as the subject matter authority on analytics/data-driven solutions that mitigate the risk of financial losses while also maintaining a positive user experience and enabling Uber to continue making big bold bets. You will develop a solid understanding of key Uber systems and tools to optimally review and analyze emerging trends and provide recommendations for mitigating emerging fraud vectors. Communicate optimally with cross-functional teams across subject areas such as product, engineering, data science with a focus on Risk/Fraud mitigation.
Eligibility Criteria:
BE/B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA/BCS/MCA/ME/M.Tech BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field MS degree or the foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or related field or 1-3 years of related experience
Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team Strong scripting skills (Python, Linux shell scripting, Windows batch scripting and Perl) Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL Experience with YAML and JSON programming language Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems Knowledge of Visual Studio, Intel and GCC compilers Experience with a configuration management software like GIT Familiarity with C/C++ and Fortran programming
