Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer you will be working in a challenging environment, supporting the business in day to day operations, as well as facilitating business changes.
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop, maintain, continuously improve and support both internal and client-facing IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks and telecoms systems.
You will be providing expert infrastructure oversight, ensuring successful delivery and performance of IT services for our clients and the fulfilment of our obligations and Service Levels Targets.
This role will be a major stakeholder in the successful growth of our service offering and expansion towards global markets.
Qualifications
Skills Mandatory (Must Have):
- Graduate with 3-5 Years of experience
- Experience administering Linux
- Should be conversant in Unix Shell scripting
- Should have exp on Automation tasks (DB backup, Application, System related)
- Should have excellent communication skills both written and oral, experience interacting with customers on day-to-day basis
- Knowledge on AWS Cloud Service Like EC2, S3, RDS are must. Other public cloud Like Azure, GCP would be an added advantage.
- Development Side and good in Performance, Troubleshooting, Database, Application Server and Web server
- Should have exp in system performance and security, application performance tuning, DB performance tuning and resolving issues.
Skills – Expected to have:
- Should have excellent communication skills both written and oral, experience interacting with customers on day-to-day basis
- Should have exp system performance and resolving issues
- Should have exp Clusters and Load balance
- Should have exp Open Source like (Apache, tomcat, mysql, php)
- Experience in Configuration Management/automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Etc.)
- Experience with Continuous Integration tooling and environment (e.g. Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, JFrog artifactory, Gradle, Ant, Maven)
- Strong skills in Puppet, Chef, Ruby, Python and Shell scripting and use of Cloud APIs to automate provisioning and deployments is required
Skills – Nice to have:
- Experience Continue Integration (CI) like Jenkins, Hudson
- Knowledge on (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Prior experience with tools such as Maven, Jenkins and Perforce is required
- Code Management System – SVN, GitHub, bitbucket
